Saturday Snapshot (06.23.12)

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky at Alyce's blog, At Home With Books.

I'm sure you will all be shocked... No pictures of our baby doll today! ;-)

Instead, I thought I'd post a picture of our last clematis blossom of the Spring blooming season. It popped out of nowhere a week or two ago after all of the other blooms were long gone. The color isn't quite as rich in the picture as it was in person, but it's still pretty.

(You can click on the image to enlarge it.)

This week I'll need to get to work with the camera some and try to get some new pictures... Not sure I've got much recent fodder available for next week's Snapshot post! :-)

  1. That's a beautiful specimen! We keep trying to grow a clematis on our garden fence but are not having much luck.

  2. That is lovely - my clematis are suffering from the ravages of snails, wind and rain! My Snapshot is another link to the past - nun who lost their home. Find it here http://goo.gl/ou72V

    1. Oh, that's too bad -- we don't really have too many snails around and Lord knows we could do with some rain! My plants are really suffering.

  3. Pretty! The clematis were beautiful this year, but they didn't last very long. Sometimes I get one or two errant flowers and it's always a pleasant surprise to see them pop up.

    1. Yes, I don't remember having any late-blooming flowers last year, so this was definitely a pleasant surprise.

    1. Thanks so much! It's not much of a garden but I do try to keep flowers blooming around our patio throughout the spring/summer. One day I'd love to have a massive garden!

And thanks re: the new design -- I was ready for a change!

  12. Pretty flower! I like that I have been using my camera more lately. I used to just let it sit around and collect dust...
