I have been having a difficult time actually finding time to do any reading in the last few days. I am hoping to change that soon. Today's teaser is from one of Georgette Heyer's mysteries. She didn't write as many of these as she did her Regency Historical Romances, but her signature witty banter and quirky characters are still there!
"Oh dear, how very confusing it all is! If I'd ever dreamed it would all be so difficult and unpleasant I should have been the last person in the world to have wanted Gregory to die."

Oh, my, I have been curious about this author, but not a fan of historical/regency. But mystery...I'm in. And quirky characters? Ditto. And I LOVE that cover.

Tuesday Teaser
Interesting... I think it actually has something to do with a setting on the blog, because I tried using the link you provided (which is awesome, btw), but had the same results. I have noticed that when I have pasted text into a facebook link description box, it always wants to add "see more at..."
DeleteI will have to do some further investigation on this, thanks for pointing it out!!
Hi Melissa,
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser lines, I am not quite sure if it is the murderer talking, or one of the many other people who wished him dead!
I love this kind of historical murder / mystery, but haven't read any by Georgette Heyer, in fact I assumed that she only wrote historical romances.
Thanks for sharing and giving me more books to add to my ever growing reading list.
Yvonne
Love Georgette Heyer! I haven't read any of her suspense novels, just her regular regency. I may have to start reading those too. This one sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TT post.
