This week has been a tough one. It was difficult to go through the loss of my grandfather, though I am very grateful he no longer has to suffer the way he had been the last few months. Naturally, my reading plans were thrown off by this, though I finally got back into the swing of things this weekend, already finishing one book, Rubies in the Orchard by Lynda Resnick, which I reviewed earlier this morning.I also read and reviewed Where Are You Now? by Mary Higgins Clark and The Return Journey by Maeve Binchy. And as you can see from the reviews, none of what I read this week really did much for me. Not such a great week in books!
I'm getting ready to start a book that I've read several positive things about, so I am looking forward to that! I won this book, The Love We Share Without Knowing, from the author, Christopher Barzak, who was giving several copies away last week. I'm curious to see what it's all about!
Something else I've been enjoying working on is the Weekly Geeks theme, A Quote A Day. I love Georgette Heyer and I've enjoyed browsing through some of my favorite books looking for fun exchanges to share with all of you. Of course, it makes me want to read some of these all over again, but I'm going to try to resist that temptation so I can stay on track with my TBR pile.
